KPA High School All Star Game

The Kentuckiana Pro Am was founded in 1994 by Coach Michael Stinnett to provide college and pro players in Kentucky a competitive summer league to sharpen their skills as they prepare for their next season. However, the event quickly grew to include players from all over the United States, and other countries. The KPA has helped several players play pro basketball because of their participation in the event.  Complete history of the KPA can be found at CoachStinnett.com click on the KPA banner, or click on the red button website link above.

The KPA High School Boys and Girls All Star Games will be held Thursday, April 27. This year will be the 2nd KPA Boys All Star Game, and the 1st ever girls game.  The games will feature 20 of the top high school boys and girls players in the state of Kentucky this year. It will allow the KPA to recognize these 20 players for their outstanding accomplishments as well as provide them with exposure if needed, and a great way to finish to their high school career. Several colleges will be invited to attend the game. The game will also recognize the coaches in the state of Kentucky (current and retired) for their outstanding seasons and careers.

Both games this year will be between the KPA Kentucky Stars (Regions 3,4, and 5) and the KPA Metro Stars (players from 6th, 7th, and 8th Regions). Players and coaches will be invited in early April.

The game will be held at Walden School (4238 Westport Road Louisville, Kentucky 40207) in Louisville Kentucky. The game will feature top talent from metro Louisville, and from the state of Kentucky. Only 10 players will represent each team for a total of 20 players. The game will be set up to be highly competitive and not your normal high school all star game.

The Kentuckiana Pro Am High School All Star Game will hopefully grow into one of the better games in the nation in future years. However it will start with these first groups of players and coaches. I feel with hard work and doing it for the right reasons, it will only get better and better

Coach John Tinsley (Russell Co.) brought in an excellent KPA Kentucky Team (Regions 3,4, and 5) last year. This team won the first ever KPA HS All Star Game by a score of 111 to 99 over KPA Metro Stars. They were lead by current Northern Kentucky player Mason Faulkner who poured in 28 points.
