ABOUT

HISTORY

Metro Exposure Founder/Co-Director Coach Michael Stinnett and Coach John Tinsley talk to Lincoln Trail JC Head Coach Mike Ray at the 2014 event.

This will be the 11th year for the Metro Exposure Workout. The workout was started in 2009 by then Iroquois head coach Michael Stinnett. Stinnett saw a great need for players in the city of Louisville and surrounding areas to gain college level exposure. Since then colleges from all over the country have attended, and several players have received college scholarships because of this event. Entering its 11th year, the event has become a normal stop for college recruiters, and the best players in the Kentuckiana area who are unsigned and looking for a chance to play at the next level. Coach Stinnett resigned as head coach at Iroquois in 2012, and new head coach Jeff Morrow has kept the event alive and well. Coach Morrow, Coach Stinnett (Stinnett Basketball Services www.coachstinnett.com), and Coach John Tinsley (Current Head Coach Logan County High School) will help make this 11th annual workout the best of its kind. The event will serve as a fundraiser for the Iroquois High School Basketball program. The goal as always is to help kids get a college education, and reach their dreams of playing college basketball.

WHO

The workout is open to high school seniors in the class of 2020, as well as former players recommended by their high school coach. Also junior college players and 5th year prep players may attend. It is for players who have gone under the radar, as well as players who want to upgrade their college choices. If you want to play college basketball or prep school basketball, and want a place to show your skills to college scouts in person this is the workout for you.

WHAT

It is a workout that consists of combine type drills, and 5 on 5 team play. The emphasis is on drills that give the player the opportunity to showcase their skills in all areas of the game. It is much different than an all star game, or an aau game. This workout allows each player to show their skills in all areas, as well as in an organized team setting. Players are encouraged to come to the event in shape.

Features of workout: NBA Combine setting and workout, College Player Guide with information on each player (stats, awards, contact information), Reversible Workout Jersey/identifiable number in player guide, recruiting analysts will be in attendance to report on the event
