Format:

5 Game League - Tuesday June 9, Thursday June 11, Tuesday June 16, Thursday June 18, Playoffs June 22 and 23

 

4 to 6 teams only - Only 4 to 6 teams will be allowed in the 2015 KPA

 

Regulation Games - Games will be 4 10 minute quarters/Clock Stops  College/Pro Referees

 

Team and Individual Registrations Accepted before June 4 - SEE BELOW

 

2015 Team Champion - Team with most overall wins will be the crowned champion or possible playoff/depending on number of teams  2014 Champions - Team Southern Indiana

 

2015 MVP and All League Team - A 2015 MVP will be named as well as a 5 man All League Team - 2014 MVP Antonio Ballard Miami Ohio/Switzerland, A.J. Slaughter Western Kentucky/Greece,Chris Dowe Bellarmine/France, Jazzmarr Ferguson IU Southeast/Italy, Chartreal Hall Bellarmine/Germany, Darryl Baker Lincoln Trail J.C., Tenale Roland Southern Indiana

 

KPA League Stats will be updated each week 

 

HOW TO ENTER:

 

Team Registration - $500 without jerseys/$750 if you want offical KPA Summer League Jerseys - *Roster must be approved by Director Michael Stinnett - Roster will need to consist of current pro players, legitimate aspiring pro players, and current college players (No Division 1 players with current eligibility allowed)

*if you do not purchase KPA Jerseys, your team should have reversible jerseys for the league and each player should wear the same number each week for stat purposes.

 

​Individual Registration - $100 - you will be placed on team of no more than 8 players - Individuals must be a current pro, aspiring pro, or current college player (no NCAA Division 1 players with eligibility accepted)  *graduating high school seniors that are going to prep school or college can apply

 

Direct Entry Registration - $40 - Players with professional experience in Europe or high level pro experience (No Minor Leauges except DLeague) given the direct entry option by Coach Stinnett.

2015 KPA Summer League

How to Play:

1. Team Sign Up - Teams can sign up to play every night in the summer league or on specific nights. Each team will be subject to the approval of KPA director Michael Stinnett.

2. Individual Sign Up - Current Professional, aspiring professional, and current college Players (NCAA D2, NCAA D3, and NAIA only) can sign up to play. Each individual will be subject to the approval of KPA director Michael Stinnett.     

REGISTRATIONS ACCEPTED UNTIL June 10 - SEE BELOW ON HOW TO SIGN UP

Purpose:

1. High Caliber Competition - provide current pros and college players the opportunity to play against the best in an organized setting. 

2. Preparation for NBA Summer League/Vegas Camps - The event is held in June to provide an opportunity for players to get a game tune up before they head out to the professional summer leagues and workouts in July.

3. Pro Exposure - Coach Stinnett has placed several players overseas over the years, and he will be looking at players who impress him in the league. For more information on Coach Stinnett, and pro job opportunites go to www.CoachStinnett.com  . He is contacted by clubs and agents from all over the world looking for players. Coach Stinnett will also email every club in Europe/Asia/Latin America with a complete review of the league. The stats and articles on the league will also be sent to Eurobasket.com.

4. Opportunity for local players who play overseas to play in front of local fans again - Several players from the Louisville area are playing overseas and are having great careers but are not seen by family and local fans. The KPA will provide the fans of the area a chance to see them play again.

5. Semi Pro Team Summer League - A lot of teams in the area are playing at the semi pro level, and the KPA will serve as a summer developmental league for those type teams.

6. College team and player development - NAIA, NCAA D2, and NCAA D3 Teams and players are allowed to play in the KPA. The KPA will serve as a a great opportunity for teams to get in summer games as well as for individual college players to play against pro level competition.
